Michael’s Graduation

Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

So last weekend was Pete’s cousin’s graduaton from Wesleyan.  So lots of driving last weekend.  Drove up most of the way on Friday night.  Discovered Stamford Connecticut has no signs for hotels.  So we finally stopped over the night in Bridgeport.

That made the amount of driving for Saturday much less - and so we could pick up Pete’s mom from the Providence airport.

Graduation was on Sunday.   Good thing the school was handing out free water.  Discovered very quickly that the shade was much nicer.

Pete and I ended up being a bit disorganized this weekend.  So after leaving my cell phone plugged in at the beach house where we were staying - I think we’ve discovered that we need separate bags when ever we go anywhere.  We also made the mistake of believing the weather man that it was going to be cold.  Oh well - it wasn’t terribly hot up there (just a bit warm).

So it was fun seeing everyone - but it was also nice to get home (and back to our own beds).  :-)

I didn’t take any pictures - but pete did.  They’re at: http://pix.petermackay.com/v/2006/GLPCT/

Kristian and Claudia’s Wedding

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

So the first day back at work after our trip to Chicago was a bit tiring.  Then again I don’t think staying up till 3 am helped with the jet lag!

Awesome trip (just too short).  Saturday we started out by eating lots of pizza (at my Pi).  Virginia has no good deep dish pizzas.  Definitely very satisfying.

Didn’t have much time before we had to check in, get ready and zip off to the wedding.  The priest might as well have been a stand up comedian!  I’ve never seen anyone get soo much grief at their own wedding!  His mother had always told him to goto church - where he’d meet his future spouse.  I guess that didn’t turn out so good for him (being a Catholic priest and all).

Losts of fun at the reception (and yes Pete and I stayed all the way till 3 am).  The Live Band Karoke (provided by the Hootenanners) started at 11.  Luckily I’m not the only person who was not ment to be a rock star :-) .  But definitely good times - with lots of great friends.

Since I made a fool of myself last time there was live band karoke - this time it was Pete’s turn.  Looks like the alcohol and/or peer pressure finally allowed me to see Pete on stage!

Sadly had to fly back to Arlington on Sunday.  So the trip was too short.

Hello world!

So thanks to Pete - this is a new web page look (that hopefully I’ll update more regularly).
