Xmas
Tuesday, December 26th, 2006Last year Pete and I took a whirl wind Midwest adventure for Xmas and New Years. We managed to visit Indianapolis, IN, Milwaukee, WI, and Sharon WI before heading home. And although it was nice to see folks at their homes last year, it was incredibly nice to spend Xmas here at our own house, which has just finished being expanded.
We finally finished our extension this month (railings in and all - to see our progress visit http://www.housechronicles.org). So we actually had a spare bedroom where Pete’s aunt and uncle (Nancy and Ron) got to sleep. Pete’s grandmother took the couch, and his mom and fiancé Jerry stayed at a hotel nearby. So when my folks came over, we had 9 people for Xmas. Since cooking for 9 is a lot of work, we decided to have the Peking Gourmet Inn (http://www.pekinggourmet.com/) make Xmas dinner. Their duck is really good - so we needed 3 of them. After dinner we opened up presents. Apparently the theft security tag was accidentally left on the jacket I got for Pete, but I just got that taken care of today. So it ended up being a really fun time.
Pete got me a scanner for Xmas - so I’m starting to catch up on some negatives that I need to scan in. I’ll slowly get these put on-line as they become available.
