Bryan and Amanda’s Wedding

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

So I’m clearly really bad at updating my blog.  Oh well - that’s just part of how life goes.

But last weekend Pete and I went to Chicago for Bryan and Amanda’s wedding.  We had a great time.  Upon arrival in Chicago - we ate an unbelievable amount of pizza at my favorite pizza place - my Pi.  I’ve never ordered anything other than the deep dish sausage, mushroom and onion pizza, but I’ve never been disappointed either.  :-)

Before getting to the ceremony poor Pete suffered from two wardrobe emergencies.  First, because of airport security, he had not worn his belt, and forgot to pack it.  Luckily, there was a GAP nearby and that was quickly resolved.  So then we were getting ready … my non-maternity dress (I was soo happy to find a dress at Banana Republic since the maternity dresses were not working out for me) had no problems.  Pete tried to put his shirt on when we discovered two problems with it. First there was a giant hole in the bottom.  Second, it was way to small.  The buttons on the shirt were strained to close and there was no way Pete could have buttoned the top button around his neck.  So on the way to the ceremony we made a second stop at the GAP for Pete to grab a shirt that fit (it looked much better than the teeny weeny one).

Pete and I had a great time at the wedding (Amanda looked really beautiful).  Definitely a fun crowd and fun time.  Sadly our short trip is over - but happily we made it home safe and sound.  :-)
