So this story starts a while back when the folks at Pete’s office found some kittens behind an outdoor fridge and decided to try to catch them and find them homes.  However, when the trap was put out, they did not catch any of the kittens….  Nor did they catch the kittens’ mom…. Instead they caught a totally random cat (about 3 years old). 

So the office pulled together and got the cat spayed, and got her all her shots.  Since they needed a name for the vet, they named her after the building they worked in – Casey.  The original plan was to release her, but she needed to be kept for at least a week so that they could give her the antibiotics that she needed. 

The person who was fostering the cat needed to go out of town.  I knew when I said “yes” to the question of “Can we foster the cat? She’s really cute.” I was really saying “yes” to the question of “Can we keep a third cat?”

So now Casey is in a big cage upstairs slowly being introduced to the new living arrangements…
